fileという単語の広がり

fileは、名詞で、「ファイル、書類」という意味ですが、これ以外にも「ヤスリ」という意味があります。

よって、fileを動詞にすると、「ファイルにする、ヤスリをかける」という意味になりますが、もう一つ、ニュースなどでよく出てくるのが「（告訴などを）提出する」という意味です。
