weatherには、動詞としての用法があります。

Longmanの英英辞典の定義より
[weather]to come through a very difficult situation safely:
（とても困難な状況をうまく切り抜ける）

用語：
・come through（難しい事など） 切り抜ける

例）Longmanの英英辞典より
＊The company weathered the storm of objections to the scheme.
　（その会社は、計画に対する反対を乗り切った）

用語：
・weather the storm 難局を切り抜ける
・objection 反対
・scheme 計画

名詞weatherにも、「天気」以外の意味があります。

■under the weather（口語）
「体の具合が悪い」
例）
＊I’m under the weather today.
　（今日は気分が悪い）

ついでに、天気に関する熟語を一つ紹介します。

天気がよければ、・・・・・（独立的に使う）
